Summary
Drivers are responsible for transporting our patients to and from our centers across Miami-Dade County as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
Drives company vans to transport patients to and from our centers.
Adheres to established facility policies and procedures related to environmental safety, orderliness, HIPAA, confidentiality and control of emergency situations.
Follows relevant safety regulations and state laws governing vehicle operation and ensure that passengers follow safety regulations.
Tests vehicle equipment such as lights, brakes, horns, or windshield wipers, to ensure proper operation.
Completes accident reports when necessary.
Performs routine vehicle maintenance such as regulating tire pressure and adding gasoline, oil, and water.
Maintains good driving record.
Treats all patients with dignity and respect.
Helps patients enter and exit vehicle to ensure safety.
Provides excellent customer service to all patients.
Calls patients to communicate pick up times on the evening prior to the patients’ appointments.
Follows route as established by dispatchers and transportation manager.
Picks up and delivers packages between medical centers and the corporate office.
Performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:
Must have at least two (2) years of experience as a driver.
Must have a Valid Florida CDL driver’s license in good standing.
Must be licensed for at least seven (7) years.
Ability to read road maps, and complete paper work as required.
Must have CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Training and certification can be provided upon hire.

Bilingual skills preferred (English/Spanish or English/Creole)
