The Part-Time Events and Activities Coordinator provides support to the administrative operations of the department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinates and assists with planning, preparation, implementation, and setup of events being offered by the Department
Serves as the contact person with outside agencies and vendors coming on campus
Reviews completed paperwork and follow-ups to assure events are set-up on time
Coordinates and schedules vendor/performer visits, and processes all necessary paperwork to adhere to college policy
Provides guidance to student assistants
Maintains office storage inventory for events and programs
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of related experience working with students, organizations and planning events
All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office , Adobe Photoshop, and database applications
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Possess excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
Ability to deal effectively with the students, faculty and staff
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and work well under limited time constraints
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
