Environmental Weekend Workers Part Time

About You

You’re a motivated and reliable self-starter looking for part-time Saturday work. You enjoy being outdoors, and working in the elements doesn’t bother you. You’re organized, punctual and enjoy doing physical labor.

Day in the Life

US Ecology is seeking dependable individuals to work occasional Saturdays. We hold collection events at customers sites (usually in Hillsborough and/or Pinellas County), where the public drops off household items that require specialized disposal. Typically, your start time is 7am and ends around 3pm.

Although no two Saturdays are the same, you can typically expect to:

Unload household items from vehicles
Sort materials by type (based on basic chemistry – which we will teach you!)
Maintain a safe and clean working area

What you need to apply:

High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to work Saturdays
Comfort working outside in a variety of elements.
Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
Ability to regularly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds for movement of supplies or containers.
Comfort wearing Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.

About Us

US Ecology helps our customers keep the environment clean by doing the hard but rewarding work of safely disposing of hazardous and regulated waste. In short, we work to provide a sustainable environment for future generations to thrive in.
