Our company is HOODZ of Nassau County / New York and we’ve been cleaning vent hoods at NIGHT in restaurant kitchens for 21 years.
We currently have 6 crews and our expanding to a 7th crew.
We are hiring for crew member position which does NOT require experience, we train on the job and through various online courses and AHJ COF Study Material.

The crew member position involves helping crew leader get job done with big emphasis on wiping down vent hood (stainless steel) after the crew leader was pressure washed it and then mopping the floor. This job is very fast paced and you will be on your feet working for the entire shift except for travel time to and from jobs. Please do not apply if you are not a hard working individual.
We are only hiring crew helpers who show potential to be Lead Technicians. Lead Techs are responsible for overseeing and participating in the grease removal, identifying deficiencies and communicating them in a reliable fashion through after service reports and FDNY Phone App. Crew Leads keep track of the schedule throughout the night, drive to locations and communicate with customers. The average pay for a Lead Tech is $27+/hr.
We usually clean 2/3 restaurants/night (while they are closed) and work Sunday – Thursday night (approx 10pm-8am).
this job is different because:

Skills/ Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have valid driver’s licence
- Have transportation to and from work
- Pass 3 year background check (felonies/violent misdemeanors)
- Pass a drug test
- No outstanding warrants
- Work in small/tight areas (wiping down inside of restaurant hood)
- Lift 100 pounds
- Work on feet for 10 hrs at a time
- Work on knees for 30 minutes at a time
- Must be able to squat and lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb ladder
- Not have any other obligations or work commitments. This is FULL TIME job.
- Must be able to Pass FDNY and NCC COF
Important Notes
Entry level crew members should expect to earn $650-950+/wk (40-60hrs) starting out with opportunity for advancement.
Crew Leaders earn $1100-1650+/wk.
Pay is based on a combination of hourly and objective goals that are paid on via bonuses.
