Malai is an artisanal ice cream company focusing on South Asian ingredients and aromatic spices to create and share unique flavors. We are seeking an energetic and organized individual who enjoys making sure our frozen desserts get into the hands of our customers.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a fast-paced environment, is able to think on their feet, has an “all hands on deck” mentality, and has the flexibility, energy and humor to handle anything that comes their way. Must be available to work Monday through Thursday mornings with the flexibility to add a day based on timing and shipping needs for the week. Position reports and works with the Shipping Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Shipping and Fulfillment
Work with Shipping Manager to fulfill orders to be shipped for the day and the week
Ensuring accuracy of orders when packing
Track inventory of frozen products for shipping and shipping supplies
Plan with Shipping Manager and Production Team about product needs for current and future outgoing shipments
Communicate with Shipping Manager about supply needs for shipping
Engage with logistics companies as needed
Transport goods from fulfillment center to storage unit as needed
Qualifications:
Previous shipping and/or fulfillment experience preferred
Previous experience with shipping frozen products preferred
Be energetic and detailed oriented
Duties may include lifting up to 50-75 lbs
Flexibility to work on weekday mornings.
Valid driver’s license preferred
