Event & Décor Company is seeking an experienced floral designer to assist with Holiday Decor .
DUTIES:
- Executes production of floral arrangements/Holiday Decor according to requirements, including following sample and floral formulas.
- Works on-site on preparing floral décor and follows directions from Event Director.
- Translates information received from Sales staff into designs that embody the vision of the floral arrangements desired by the client.
- Develops design ideas and visualizes how arrangements will look after produced.
- Performs general cleaning duties as needed to ensure safety; ensures the work area and department are maintained according to company standards.
- Performs basic floral assembly skills, including taping and wiring.
- Resolves design issues on site and in-house.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3 years experience in floral design/production (particularly in a creative or event décor industry).
- Ability to identify quality of floral products and repeat floral designs for production.
- Ability to develop, read, calculate, and interpret pull sheets, pricing information, and formulas.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Outstanding interpersonal communications and conflict management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and good follow-up.
- Ability to effectively & safely use tools and equipment that includes: floral knives and cutters, transport equipment, hand tools. May be required to provide own tools.
PAY RANGE: $18-$25 per hour, based on experience.
