Our mission is to provide kitchen workspace, storage, event space film/photo shoot space, as well as a full suite of business support services for a variety of food production needs. Job Summary:

The Catering Sales Coordinator will be responsible for managing the overall event sales lifecycle of catering events at the location to meet and exceed established annual sales revenue goals. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and driven sales professional – able to collaborate with a range of stakeholders to plan and deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Detailed Responsibilities
• Builds and maintains relationships to secure and maximize catering opportunities
• Ensure smooth transition and communication with the team to execute positive client experience
• Contributes to and manages the development of strategic sales initiatives
• Completion of annual group sales review to identify strengths and opportunities for the future
• Completion of annual competitor analysis within the market working with location partner to optimize menu offerings
• Completion of annual lost business analysis to investigate areas of opportunities resulting in increased secured business
• Ability to analyze sales trends, client’s needs to enhance the overall event experience
• Proactively engaging in networking and other lead generation activities
• Maintains successful performance by increasing revenues, controlling expenses and providing a return on investment for the location partner
• Promptly respond to all client correspondence, phone and email including initial inquiry, proposal development for qualified leads and all follow up as necessary to secure business
• Negotiate with clients through the use of creative and attractive menu presentation and event proposals to achieve both maximum revenue/profit potential and fulfillment of contractual responsibilities
• Working closely with the operations team and kitchen members to develop menus and proposals to impress clients and guests while simultaneously maintaining operational feasibility, cost effectiveness and event appropriateness for venue facilities
• Creating catering agreements and submitting for client signature in accordance with venue deadlines
• Manage client relationships to set expectations and drive positive event experience
• Handling client billing to ensure accurate and timely payment of deposits and final payments
• Solicits event feedback and compiles opportunities for improvement and event experience
• Comfortable and proactive with cold calling to reach more potential clientele
• Maintaining CRM system of current and future potential clients
Job Requirements
• 2+ years in a catering sales role
• Hospitality or business degree is preferred
• Experience working on major events is preferred
• Passion for hospitality, food and retail
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to foster positive relationships
• Ability to stay composed and collected under pressure or in client-facing situation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Commitment to company standards and culture
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
• Ability to work well with other team members.
• Strong multitasking skills, strategic mindset, and ability to track predefined metrics.
• Outgoing individual with strong communication skills who is energized by talking with new customers.
• Excellent knowledge of local as well as national players in the culinary and hospitality spaces
• Takes initiative, is organized, responsible and detail oriented.
• Education: College degree preferred
• Hold a valid NYS Food Handlers certificate or be willing to take the online course and exam

What We Offer:
• Base Salary + commission, with earning potential of $50K to 90K+
