Welcome to Riverbend Retreat, where relaxation and recreation meet! We are a unique, family-friendly Bed & Breakfast in the Tampa area, looking for someone who will enjoy providing an exceptional hospitality for our guests in a beautiful environment.
The Housekeeper Cook is responsible for cleaning all areas of our facility with the additional responsibility of preparing nutritious and healthy meals for guests.
This is a year-round, full- or part-time position and reports to the manager and property owner.
Duties & Responsibilities
Setting guest access codes and greeting guests
Tidying and cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas within time limits
Cleaning windows, watering household plants, and refreshing floral arrangements
Keeping patios, pathways, recreation areas and steps clean and tidy
Covering and uncovering patio furniture before/after rainy weather
Collecting, washing and ironing laundry. Arranging for dry-cleaning
Safely maintain assigned housekeeping equipment and supplies
Report maintenance issues or damages discovered while cleaning/inspecting, ensuring follow-through on the reported issues
Handle reasonable guests complaints/requests and inform management
Animal care: cleaning and care for two bunnies and one cat
Preparing and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner
Clearing away, tidying, and cleaning the kitchen and rooms where food is eaten
Keeping kitchen pots, pans and work surfaces clean and in good condition
Grocery shopping within assigned budgets; maintaining stock control
Restocking coffee and supplies daily
Ensuring refrigerator is clean and out-of-date items discarded
Keeping all areas, including the pantry, laundry room and guest refreshment area organized
Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies and licensing laws
Carrying out any other tasks that the employer may reasonably ask
Qualifications/Requirements
Proven working experience in relevant field
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; ability to multi-task
Ability to work independently and remain motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Knowledge of English language
Required to work weekends and holidays
Essential Physical Demands
Able to lift to 30 lbs.
Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, etc.
Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
