**Responsibilities:**
– Prepare and portion batters for seafood and chicken.
– Measure and mix seasonings and spices according to established recipes and standards.
– Assist in the preparation of food items such as marinated seafood, vegetables, and proteins for the steam line.
– Prepare dishes for the steam line including mac & cheese, collard greens, rice, mashed potatoes & more.
– Follow proper food safety and handling procedures to ensure product freshness and maintain high-quality standards.
– Collaborate with the staff to ensure accurate and timely preparation of ingredients to support the steam line operation.
– Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
– Assist with inventory management, including monitoring ingredient levels, stock rotation, and ordering supplies as needed.
– Support the team with additional tasks as assigned by the cooks or management.
**Requirements:**
– Prior experience in food preparation or a related role is preferred but not required.
– Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
– Ability to follow recipes and measurements accurately.
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members.
– Ability to stand for periods of time and lift over 50 lbs.
– Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
– Food handling education or certification is a plus, but not mandatory.
