We are looking for warehouse associates to move packages and material around our facility to work any of the following shifts:
1st shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm)
Mid-shift (8:00 am – 4:30 pm)
2nd shift (12:00 pm – 8:30 pm)
Your job could involve operating forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and other standard warehouse equipment. Previous equipment experience preferred but not required. We look out for one another on the warehouse floor by being flexible when we must tackle production schedule changes, environmental changes, and sudden work schedule changes. You will be expected to go “above and beyond” on your assigned job tasks. This includes volunteering for additional assignments not directly related to your specific job role because your performance helps the team achieve overall performance goals. We are looking for people who make a conscious effort to pay attention to the task at hand, accurately read product codes, and correctly receive, pick, 2nd count, and/or load the correct quantity of products for shipment.
It’s a physical job! If you have never worked in a warehouse environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet for 100% of your shift. While we want everyone to feel comfortable, our ability to control the temperature in our warehouse is limited.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack and stage products and materials using a forklift, pallet jack, or other power equipment
- Inspect each pallet and or case for proper quantities, manufacturers, lot numbers and expiration dates, damages and follow any special instructions issued by team leads or management
- Use warehouse equipment to achieve daily tasks
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
- General housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required (e.g. you may be asked to sweep the floor, breakdown boxes, take out the trash, etc.)
- Perform cross functional tasks as requested by management
Skills
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Experience in warehouse/distribution center.
- Basic math and reading skills to perform job tasks and complete necessary paperwork
- Lift objects that weigh anywhere between 15 pounds and 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
- You must also work well as part of a team and be willing to work long hours when necessary
- No limitation of educational background, able to communicate in English
- Ability to receive and execute oral and written directions
