We are looking for an Operator Technician to join our team. The position will operate and maintain our Water Jet Portioning System. Must have computer skills and be mechanically inclined. Able to evaluate and make adjustments to parameters. Able to learn and adapt quickly.
Summary: Operates equipment daily. Performs routine repairs, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of other processing equipment as needed while meeting safety requirements in completing tasks and complying with policies and/or regulations. Computer skills are required. Machine operation is required. Mechanical skills are preferred but willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Operate Water Jet Portioning system (daily)
Perform all operator tasks for system as well as mechanical tasks (daily)
Mechanical repair of portioner as well as any other equipment as needed (daily)
Preventative Maintenance of portioner system (daily, weekly, monthly)
Thorough and detailed documentation of all operational information, repair information, and preventative maintenance
Ability to learn computer control systems. Operate an HMI, work with tech support over phone/internet. Work with service technician on all visits. Install new updates with tech support.
Daily monitoring and maintaining pressure settings and the skills to determine the steps needed to troubleshoot issues that arise.
Ability to work throughout the processing area. Assist others as needed.
Ability to follow through with instructions regarding operations, food safety, food quality, repair, and preventative maintenance.
Push, pull, and lift 50+ pounds throughout the day.
All duties are performed in a safe manner with company safety guidelines.
Any and all tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications/ Experience:
Food manufacturing experience. Machine operation experience. Industrial experience.
Computer skills required.
Reliable Team-Player with schedule flexibility, as well as the ability to work on weekends and extended hours as needed.
Eligible to work in the USA.
Skills related to manufacturing maintenance: mechanical repair.
Able to learn quickly.
Works well with a team and works well alone.
Education/Licenses/ Certifications:
· LOTO experience preferred.
· Food Safety experience preferred.
· Haccp experience preferred.
· Technical training preferred.
