We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to assist in the execution of all marketing plans, programs, and initiatives that support a comprehensive customer experience and promote a vision focused on increased brand awareness, driving sales, and expanding engagement. The role requires strong attention to detail and multitasking as needed in coordination with all members Chai Pani Restaurant Group as well as restaurant managers.

This role is approximately 40+ hours/week, and is a hybrid position based in either Asheville, NC or Atlanta, GA. There is an application deadline of July 11, 2023.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage and execute projects as assigned by the Marketing Director
  • Work with the Marketing Director and CPRG team to integrate restaurant promotions
  • Assist in coordinating events and give back initiatives at the restaurants
  • Oversee all restaurant social media channels including:
    • Developing a content calendar (photography, video, copywriting)
    • Scheduling/posting content
    • Tracking KPIs
    • Monitoring engagement, growth, and follower sentiment
    • Responding to direct messages & inquiries
    • Staying up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Monitor guest inquiries via websites and email, responding to commonly asked questions, and disseminating inquiries to the appropriate managers
  • Assist with photo/video shoots and content generation
  • Assist Marketing Director with writing, designing, and publishing newsletters
  • Communicate with outside vendors and CPRG in-house graphic design team to execute marketing materials
  • Ensure all internal and external stakeholders have timely and actionable information about marketing initiatives, events, content calendars, and photo/video shoots

The ideal candidate will:

  • Model best practices of work ethic, punctuality, honesty, dedication, generosity & communication
  • Have a deep understanding of CPRG’s brand story and Indian cuisine and culture
  • Be a resource of calm, professionalism, product knowledge, and timely communication
  • Model appropriate, professional, and friendly interpersonal communication and treatment of co-workers and team members
  • Promptly respond to all incoming emails, calls and vendor inquiries
  • Model Mindblasting customer service in communication with outside vendors & stakeholders
  • Oversee daily administrative tasks to ensure functionality and coordination of marketing/communications/design teams
  • Maintain a focus on clear and timely communication between team members
  • Consistent awareness of project timelines and reprioritization of tasks in correlation to deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in marketing, business, communications or related field
  • Marketing and/or social media experience
  • Basic photography skills (iPhone photography acceptable!)
  • Experience working in a high-paced restaurant environment
  • Strong writing and copy editing skills

Evaluation:

  • 6 month performance review / check in with Marketing Director & COO
