Eleventh Street Pizza – Now Hiring: Kitchen Manager
Eleventh Street Pizza is a casual concept pizza and slice shop headed by David Foulquier, a born and bred New Yorker with a love for pizza! We use 100% sourdough to make our pizza, as well as all organic ingredients. We offer a rotating selection of beers & wines.
We are searching for our next Store Manager, someone who has a passion for both food & hospitality. The ideal candidate should have back of the house production experience, preferably in a pizza or bakery environment. All of our pizza is sourdough and everything on our menu is made in house. This candidate should have strong customer service skills as it is a guest facing role as well as production role.
To be successful in this role, you will need 3+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume restaurant. You will play a key role as part of our team by hiring, scheduling, and assisting both back and front of the house in managing the restaurant staff as well as overseeing the success and profitability of the business. We will need you to lead by example and ensure the restaurant runs smoothly and the guests are provided with the best customer service. This is a very hands on management position, which requires you to make pizza, learn the dough, prep, as well as take care of customers. You will need to learn the entire operation, both back and front of the house to be successful in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Our Store Manager represents Eleventh Street Pizza with hospitality, genorosity, curiosity, and brings these qualities to every interaction with members, guests, and the team
- Coordinate daily FOH & BOH operations
- Oversee all aspects of production, including dough, sauces, dressings, desserts, and food preparation, to ensure products meet quality and consistency standards.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and ingredients, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and optimal pricing.
- Train and supervise staff, providing guidance on techniques, recipes, and safety procedures.
- Implement and enforce sanitation and food safety protocols to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Support Director of Operations in overseeing all aspects of the operation within the restaurant
- Provide consistent execution and exemplary service to our guests
- Direct the team to ensure all opening, mid, and closing procedures are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant
- Recruit, train, supervise, and develop restaurant staff, for both FOH & BOH
- Ensure completion of food safety checklists
- Maintain and manage food cost, troubleshooting any issues that may arise
- Manage P&L, forecasting, COGs, and inventory control
- Typical hours for this position are 2 pm- Midnight, weekends required. Our salaried managers are expected to work 50 hours per week, with 2 days off.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree
- 3+ years of high-volume restaurant management experience
- Food Handler Certification is a plus
- Inventory and ordering management
- Detail oriented
- POS system knowledge
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Customer service-oriented attitude
- Ability to work independently, as well as lead, manage, and motivate a team, including shift managers
- Organized, problem solver, team player and excellent communication skills
- Proficient in English language

We are also opening Fooq’s, a Persian style contemporary restaurant in Little River, with plans to open in early 2025.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
