AKA, a global leader in luxury hospitality, and Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur David Myers – who is celebrated for his ADRIFT restaurants and known for his appearances on Bravo’s “Top Chef” and the Food Network’s “Iron Chef America” – will be bringing a new F&B concept to its 36-story, 201-room Miami hotel, Hotel AKA Brickell, located at 1395 Brickell Avenue.

Launching Spring of 2023, ADRIFT Mare will be an exciting new dining concept, bringing together the elegance of the French Riviera, the laid-back vibe of the Balearic Islands, the vibrancy of fresh Italian produce, warm Levant hospitality, and the gentle rhythm of the Greek isles, and will be set in a minimalist, airy and stylish space with dramatic design features.

ADRIFT Mare’s vibrant menu, focusing on grilled meat, fish, and crustacean alongside light pasta, will pair perfectly with a passionate team dedicated to providing exemplary service, warm hospitality, and memorable experiences.

This role will have the selected candidate run food to the restaurant, pool, and in-room dining.

Job Description:

  • Obtain and Maintain a working knowledge of all food menus including restaurant and pool menus.
  • Assure guests have everything they need on the tables after delivery of food.
  • Ensures guest has proper silverware, napkin, share plates when delivering food.
  • Keep kitchen station clean and organized.
  • Polish and stock utensils and silverware.
  • Assist all servers, bartenders and managers with carrying of plates.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with guests, and co-workers.
  • Communicate food orders to line cooks, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies, food restrictions)
  • Perform calmly and effectively under stressful conditions.
  • Promote an atmosphere of teamwork by assisting co-workers.

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Complete Food Handler Certification per state and company requirement.
  • Able to multitask efficiently.
  • Follow supervisor’s instructions.
  • Able to work well with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. via food or beverage trays or required equipment needed to perform specific job duties.
  • Safely transport items to and from kitchen to where the order originated.
  • Lift and carry multiple plates from kitchen to dining room.
  • Safely move about in all areas of the hotel and restaurant areas.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach, lift, carry, and wipe.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 per hour
