Greets guests upon arrival, escorts them to a table and provides menus to them once seated. Manages special seating requests consistent with table availability. Relays seating/guest information to servers and server assistants persons. Oversees dining room activity to ensure that most efficient and effective flow of patrons.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
1. Greets all guests with a smile upon their arrival, checks guests in and escorts them to a table, balancing the flow among the server’s stations
2. Table selection should correspond with proper rotation, guests seating preference and size of party
3. Assist with seating requests when necessary and provide guests with clean menus
4. Relays information to service staff, requests feedback from guests as to their experience and gives a final salutation upon exit from the restaurant
5. Maintains a clean and organized station. Complete all side-work and ensure the cleanliness of menus, and keeps necessary stock of pens, pencils, menus and other departmental supplies
6. Answers the telephone
7. Periodically checks restrooms for cleanliness and proper stock of supplies
8. Explain and offer the Kobe rewards card to each patron at check-in
Skills and Abilities:
Outgoing person acting as an ambassador of company values, mission, image to the public at all times
Ability to interact with guest and fellow coworkers
Excellent communication skills
Continuously standing, walking, bending, reaching, carrying and twisting and use of hands and arms.
