Advanced computer skills * Arranging bookings; coordinating freight movement with customers, shippers, carriers, agents, and third parties; from origin to destination; including pick up, storage, and delivery. * Reviewing freight rates with carriers and determining the most efficient and cost-effective method of moving freight. * Follow up with customers to resolve inquiries on a daily basis. * Initiate, prepare and process documentation for air exports and bonded shipments according to established procedures and regulations. * Prepare, route, and cut air waybills and manifests. * Rate airline MAWBs correctly taking advantage of special contracts and promo codes. * Request spot rates for the airlines. * Close air waybills timely to meet gateway and airline cutoffs. * Print all necessary export documents. * Ensure all documentation guidelines are met according to the TSA regulations. * Print labels for export files. * Send pre-alert to destination offices/agents. * Ensure that the file contains all necessary document copies in a proper sequence. * Proper handling of expedited, out of gauge and hazardous freight. * Initiate and handle the airline claim process for damaged and lost cargo as needed. * Report the warehouse receipts to agents/customers and advise any discrepancies to avoid mishandling of goods. * Provide warehouse with loading plan. * Tracking, tracing, POD confirmation and advise customers/agents as needed with timely updates. * Assists with ensuring that payable and receivable documents are completed accurately and forwarded within time constraints. * Ensures that the highest level of data quality and integrity by processing shipment accurately. * Set up reporting to monitor accounts activity/shipments on a daily basis and liaison with both overseas offices and our own. * Identify problems, report them to direct supervisor and proactively resolve any issues to minimize the impact on the client and Global Cargo. * Receive, review, and process import documentation for accounts. * Ensure import documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carrier, customers, and agents in a timely manner. * Work with Brokerage or CFS to coordinate and monitor the release of goods from the carrier, Customs, or other governmental agency examinations that may be required. * Uphold a strong and professional relationship with airlines, transportation agencies, and sales. * Produce Invoice and correct billings for customers. * Perform other duties as assigned by management.
