No axe throwing experience necessary. But if you are an individual who enjoys recreational sports, team sports, fitness training, outdoor sports, teaching, or coaching.
Summary of Position:
Axe Throwing Coach is an individual who is outgoing, positive, enthusiastic and wants to share our passion for axe throwing and social events by facilitating and ensuring that every guest enjoys a safe and unforgettable experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure that all procedures, equipment needs, and safety protocols are met consistently.
Teach customers in proper throwing techniques so they learn how to throw to the best of their ability to have a safe and unforgettable experience.
>>Ensure the facility, lanes and equipment are always event-ready and the sessions are flowing smoothly.
>>Be the face of Hatchet Hangout Social and represent our brand and passion for social sports.
>>Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
>>Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service always.
>>Proactively seeking out and solving guest conflicts quickly and courteously. Engage in guest recovery process when needed. Help create a team environment, encourages others at every opportunity.
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-time.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
>>We are currently looking for Axe throwing staff. We have part-time and full-time positions available and you must be willing to work holidays, nights and weekends!
>>Our staff will need to deliver a safe and entertaining experience for our guests! You will have a multitude of responsibilities as you will be providing the absolute BEST guest experience.
Responsibilities:
-Share and engage our customers in a fun but professional manner
You will be assisting guests in learning to throw an axe safely and correctly, so that they will be able to enjoy the activity themselves. (Don’t worry we’ll train you on the proper techniques)
-You will be in charge of setting up the lanes/games that our guests choose and delivering the rules and set up while giving them updates on how much time is left so that they can clear out on time for our next group of axe throwers!
-As a large part of our bookings will be done in advance, we will accept walk-ins if we are not fully booked. You will be responsible for checking guests in, processing payment and ensuring all participants have signed the correct waivers.
-Safety is our first priority- You will be in charge of ensuring all equipment is up to standard and safe during your shift, ensuring that all customers are following our safety rules and procedures at all times, and offering first response if necessary.
-You will be assisting in taking calls and questions about bookings and private events.
Set-up and Clean-up. The usual so that our facility stays absolutely immaculate!
Qualifications
-Must LOVE people and throwing things (don’t worry we will teach you how it’s done properly!)
-Communication is KEY!!!- You will be constantly engaging our customers-humor is always a plus as your job is to ensure ALL guests enjoy their experience at Hatchet Hangout.
-Leadership Skills- You must display high confidence and be able to manage group dynamics
-Problem solving and quick thinking is a must! As you will be dealing with a wide range of personalities, you must be able to engage and conquer all types of circumstances
-3-5 years in the hospitality and/or retail industry environment is preferred
-Must be physically able to maintain/change out boards on the targets
-Ability to lift and carry wood and other items up to 20-30 lbs
-Must have reliable transportation

Schedule:
10 hour shift
8 hour shift
Day shift
Evening shift
Weekends and No Weekends.
Experience: Sports Coaching: 2 years (Preferred), But not necessary.
Hours per week: 20, 30-39, 40-50 with over-time.
