Job Summary:
Front Office Concierge serve as the guest’s liaison for both hotel and non-hotel services at The Betsy. Concierge functions are an extension of The Betsy front desk agent duties. Concierge assists the guest- regardless of whether inquiries concern in-hotel or off-premises attractions, facilities, services, or activities.
Responsibilities and Duties Include but Not Limited to the Following:

Develops a strong knowledge of the hotel’s facilities and services and of the surrounding community.
Provides guests with information about attractions, facilities, services, and activities in or outside the property.
Knows how to provide concise and accurate directions. Makes reservations and obtains tickets for flights, transportation, the theatre, or special events.
Organizes special functions as directed by management such as VIP cocktail receptions.
Stays current and up to date with all Betsy services as well as daily VIP requests and special events.
Coordinates guest requests for special services or equipment with the appropriate department.
Handles guest complaints and solves problems to their satisfaction.
Performs all Front Desk Agent functions by checking-in guests and communicating services and amenities at The Betsy upon arrival. Accommodates special requests whenever possible for each guest. At the end of guest’s stay, processes guest check-outs.
Assists Front Desk Agents and Front Desk Supervisor when needed.
Ensures proper use of the telephone and electronic communication etiquette standards.
Ensures orderliness and safety guidelines around The Betsy lobby and front door areas.
Projects a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe work area. Ensures that all necessary equipment is maintained properly with sufficient par levels for day to day operations.
Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
A degree in hospitality management or a related field is desired.
Must speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used by the guests who visit the hotel.
Ability to use a property management system and related devices.
Ability to use a guest service management system and related devices.
Ability to follow instruction.
Speaks with others using clear and professional language.
Detail-oriented.
Professional attitude is required.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent time management skills.
Works well with others.
Excellent communication skills are essential.
Excellent organizational skills are essential.
Must be extremely reliable and trustworthy.
Must have extraordinary knowledge of the Miami hospitality and related industries and the services they offer. Having established relationships within these industries is desirable.
