Off-Premise Catering Server:
Bill Hansen Catering is seeking motivated and energetic individuals to fill the open “catering server” role on our events team. On any given day, the server is responsible for setting up an event, arranging tables, providing food service, and attending to the special needs of guests.
Typical duties include:
The duties and responsibilities of a Server are generally to provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire event process to ensure the highest standard of customer satisfaction. Here are some examples of the duties and responsibilities:
· Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.
· Greeting guests as they enter a venue and helping them to find their seats.
· Seeing to the comfort of guests through answering questions, taking orders, conveying special instructions to the kitchen and bar, and serving food and beverages.
· Circulate the room with trays of appetizers and beverages.
· Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
· Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
· Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the event space.
· Relay food and beverages.
· Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
· Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations.
· Work with other event team members to create a welcoming and warm environment and positive guest experience.
· Relay important information about orders, allergies, and special requests to the appropriate person.
· Supporting other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
· Adhering to safety and quality regulations.
Requirements:
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
· Courteous and attentive to guests.
· May need to meet age limits for serving alcoholic beverages.
· Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, staying on your feet, climbing stairs, carrying heavyweights.
· Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
· Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred qualifications:
· Previous experience as a food server (Preferred)
· High school diploma or equivalent
