We are looking for Repack Operator (entry level)
Job Location: Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Full-time
Shifts: 2nd Shift (Tuesday – Saturday 2:00pm – 10:30pm) – hours/days may vary based on business need
Department: Distribution – Syracuse Cold Storage
Job Summary:
Responsible for repacking, restacking, stickering, labeling and stamping different products to service customer needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate assigned repack equipment to include: setup, prestart, startup, operations, shut down, cleanup.
Must follow all SOP procedures and complete required documentation/checklists. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve products, services, or processes.
Responsible for repacking, stickering, stamping, stacking, glueing and all other tasks assigned to meet order/customer expectations. Required to work in a team setting as it takes a team to repack all items efficiently.
Maintain area cleanliness, reports leaking or out of spec product and participate in waste reduction efforts.
Follow all Safety requirements to include, Housekeeping, Lock Out/Tag Out, PPE and engage in facility safety efforts.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA, NYSDA, PMO, FDA, and assist in maintaining SQF readiness, and HACCP.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Manufacturing and/or warehouse experience preferred
Must be able to operate forklifts, pallet jacks (manual/electric)
Must be able to work in varied temperature ranges
Skills and Competencies:
Performs reasonable job related tasks as requested.
Meets departmental performance standards.
Actively participates in Continuous Improvement efforts.
Adheres to Company Policy and Procedures.
Ability to meet qualification card training plans.
Perform all job duties in a safe and compliant manner.
Operate in varied temperature ranges.
Ability to be flexible within the work area to operate various production equipment.
