Make your mark in public service. As an accredited public health department, we’re seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Call Center Agent within the Internal Services Operations Section/VITAL RECORDS.

Reporting directly to the Constituent Services Supervisor, this position will provide quality and timely customer service in the Vital Records Constituent Services department responsible for effectively responding to phone inquiries and processing of various requests from constituents including processing mail-in, and on-line requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large volume of inbound calls in a timely manner.
  • Review and validate constituents’ identification and documentations to complete vital records request.
  • Provide constituents with accurate information in accordance with Georgia Code (31-10) and Georgia Regulations 511-1-3).
  • Search for constituents’ information and updates information as needed in the system.
  • Keep records of all conversations in our call center database in a comprehensible way.
  • Resolve constituents’ questions and complaints regarding Vital Records requests.
  • Perform various clerical duties (i.e., photocopying materials, filing, and data entry).
  • Send complex search and special services requests (e.g., Adoptions, Parental Acknowledgement Home Births, Delayed Births and Deaths) for processing to Records Management team, inform constituents of the timeframe and options for waiting.
  • Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative service level agreements.
  • Perform other assignments as required.

High school diploma or GED AND completion of 90 quarter hours (60 semester hours) at an accredited college or university OR One year of experience in a customer service setting communicating information OR One year of experience required at the lower level Customer Svc Rep 1 (GST120) or position equivalent.
