We are recruiting Catering Cooks to work with the top caterers/brands in the event industry. We are currently seeking ON DEMAND Cooks to work various shifts at extraordinary high-end venues and stores throughout New York City and the surrounding areas.
Requirements:
Comfortable interacting with staff and high-end clientele in various scenarios.
Able to self-report to various locations throughout New York City Your own reliable transportation (and clean driving record) is a BIG PLUS, but not required
Catering Cooks utilize standardized metric recipes to perform quantity cooking of vegetables, meat, fish and poultry, baked goods, etc.
Catering Cooks must have excellent cutting skills and experience in both preparation and event execution for high-end catered events, i.e., weddings, corporate cocktail receptions, etc.
Your skills and abilities:
2 years’ experience as a cook in a catering/restaurant environment. Cooks with less experience may be considered for other positions, i.e., prep cook, line cook, etc. ServSafe, Culinary degree, and Food Handler certification are a big plus.
Ability to work stationary or/and move about the workstation/ kitchen area for prolonged periods of time.
A successful cook can lift, pull, push, and carry up to 30 pounds.
