RESUMEN DEL CARGO El chef informa al director del servicio de comidas en el restaurante. Dependiendo del restaurante, el chef ofrece instrucciones culinarias al personal de cocina. Además, demuestra habilidades culinarias.

OBLIGACIONES Y RESPONSABILIDADES ESENCIALES.

Estarás entrenando con nuestro jefe de cocina. Básicamente, necesitamos a alguien que pueda seguir una pista y demostrar hospitalidad con nuestros clientes.
Cumple los objetivos económicos culinarios mediante la estimación de requisitos; diseñar menús; anticipar y evaluar la respuesta a los gastos de programación de presentación del menú; analizar variaciones; iniciar acciones correctivas; evaluar técnicas de producción que ahorran tiempo; capacitar a otros en técnicas especiales.
Da el ejemplo al mantener un ambiente de trabajo seguro, protegido y saludable al establecer, seguir y hacer cumplir los estándares y procedimientos; cumplir con las normas de saneamiento y las leyes federales, estatales y locales; supervisar la preparación, seguridad y protección de los alimentos; revisar e implementar planes de accidentes y desastres.
Da el ejemplo al mantener los ingredientes de los alimentos, la preparación de alimentos y los suministros generales al seleccionar y comprar los ingredientes del menú; evaluar la calidad de las entregas de alimentos frescos y productos alimenticios; mantener suministros generales; establecer niveles de inventario, puntos de reorden, requisitos de almacenamiento y controles de costos.
Ayuda según sea necesario para garantizar que los ciclos de comidas se comuniquen de manera oportuna y precisa. Supervise el rendimiento de los productos para garantizar un uso máximo.
Trabaja con el personal de administración para mejorar el desempeño de la unidad.
DESTREZAS Y HABILIDADES

Demonstrates the ability to cook meals according to detailed specifications on a consistent basis
Established with a successful record working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Must be comfortable with all levels of employees and have the ability to drive positive program change.
Excellent time management skills required. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities.
Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills required.
Must be innovative and have the ability to make changes to the operation as needed to further improve the work environment and unit performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

MUST HAVE FLORIDA SERVSAFE FOODHANDLERS LICENSE***
At least 2+ years of experience in an Executive Chef role and/or menu design planning role
Minimum of 1 years of supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production and restaurant or catering environment required.
Complete training or certifications in CPR, HIPAA, HIV/AIDS, Verbal De-Escalation, Incident Reporting, Infection/STD Risks, HEP B/C, and Abuse, Neglect, Trauma, and Exploitation, Understanding SUD, and any other trainings required by the State or the Joint Commission.
