Job Description

This Lead Technician supports our Orlando Test Track facility which where we conduct testing on the design & development of new platforms (pallets).

2nd shift Modified 10:00am to 6:00pm; Normal: 2:30pm – 11pm – must be flexible to work within these time frames

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Promote a safe work environment through personal actions and identify any safety concerns
Lead and perform safety checks on all equipment daily; ensure calibration equipment is current
Ensure that temporary ADI/FLT personnel are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
Responsible for documentation of inspection activities and maintenance of quality control records
Analyse test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from the equipment in order to diagnose problems
Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery
Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor
Successful fulfillment of assigned duties
CHALLENGES

Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

AA degree from a two-year college in a related technical field or certificate or diploma from a trade school in a related field, or related, equivalent work experience
pRS Logix 5000, PLC, controls experience required
Welding certification required
2 – 4 years experience in plant/warehouse environment
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to determine resolution
SKILL & KNOWLEDGE

Mechanical aptitude, hydraulics, electrical, pneumatic experience
Ability to lead meetings, including effectively setting and communicating expectations
Computer knowledge with regards to automated equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Proficient in MS Office tools
Must be able to lift 70+ 50 pounds
