We seek a dedicated individual who will operate the picker equipment to sort, spread and remove non-processible
items, and prepare material for machine picking. This individual will identify explosive and/or volatile substances and
non-processible objects in the waste stream. The individual will communicate via radio or intercom with control room
operator concerning material flow. This individual will follow pit management protocol as part of the daily operation.
Performance of operational preventive maintenance and general housekeeping will be required daily along with
completing PM sheets and work order as required. In addition, he will change hydraulic hoses and piping when required
and assist in changing hammer.
Position Requirements
To be considered for this position the individual must be a high school graduate or have a general education degree
(GED) three to six months related experience and/or training. This individual should have experience with skid loaders
and forklifts, and have some mechanical competency. Internal candidates must have completed qualification standards
for prior position in company’s line of progression.
