The department of Pathology is actively seeking a full-time Courier. The Courier delivers various kinds of documents, packages, and messages between offices or
departments. This position also travels to off-site locations when necessary to complete assigned
deliveries.

 

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

Delivers documents, packages and/or messages to their destination.
Receives documents, materials, and information requiring delivery.
Maintains confidentiality at all times during the course of delivery and thereafter.
Plans and follows the most efficient routes for delivering goods.
Sorts items for delivery, according to delivery route.
Obtains signatures for pertinent information, upon delivery.
Maintains records of items received and delivered, as well as the recipient.
Remains accessible at all times via telephone, email or pager.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid State of Florida driver’s license
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
