Interacts with customers via phones or walk-in to provide water, sewer, and garbage services.
Creates new accounts, terminations, and service orders using the software application.
Creates adjustments for utility accounts that have leaks or errors.
Enter data containing technical terminology and be able to retrieve and interpret data.
Prepares forms, various reports, and letters, as required for communication.
Performs research to prepare and maintain department records.
Collects payments for processing and balances cash report.
May perform the work of lead cashier to verify cash reports and assist where needed.
Process requisitions for purchases orders, invoices, and related paperwork.
Interacts with various utility departments.

Skill in the operation of a computer, calculator and common office equipment.

Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to maintain files in an orderly manner to make information accessible.
Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.

Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a GED.
Three years of experience in customer service work.
Experience in organization and complex filing.
