Position Specific Description

*This position is for current college students only*

As an essential part of our company you will be providing customer service through our call center to our more than 4.8 million customers.

About Position

This position offers valuable work experience while completing your degree. Flexible work schedule that accommodates your school schedule. Ongoing professional development, including job shadowing. Fun and supportive environment. All new hires will train at FPL’s Lejeune Flagler Office located at 4200 W Flagler St. Miami, FL 33134. Candidates that are not enrolled at Florida International University (FIU) will remain and work at the Lejeune Flagler Office once training has been completed. Those enrolled in FIU will transition to the MARC building once training is completed. Multilingual is a plus.

Paid Training
The mandatory training is 8 weeks long. This is the PM training class.

Monday through Friday (Must Be Able to Attend for 8 weeks)
Starting pay is $12.00 per hour
Work Schedule
Upon completion of the mandatory training, work schedules changes to 3-8 hours daily, 5 days on and 2 days off; additional hours and overtime available. The work schedule will be flexible to accommodate your school schedule.

Position officially starts March 9th, 2021.

Job Overview
Employees in this role assist with basic customer requests and explain company policies to customers in a pleasant and professional manner. This position emphasizes public relations and effective revenue risk management as well as provides a variety of information regarding the company.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Under direct supervision:

Responds to customer requests, inquiries or complaints
Assists with agency inquiries and Medical Essential Service Program (MESP)
Identifies who will handle more complex calls
Transfers or refers sales leads accordingly
Uses company’s Predictive Dialer System as needed to contact customers regarding their past due accounts
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
