Di An Di is an independent Vietnamese American restaurant in Greenpoint and we are searching for the right individual to join our kitchen team as a line cook.
What we are looking for in an individual:
– A natural curiosity and interest in learning about Vietnamese culture and its food.
– Must be able to consistently work both Saturday and Sunday – if you can not please don’t apply as it won’t work for us.
– Has basic experience in a kitchen (knows how to hold and use a knife safely, knows to say “behind”, etc). Don’t worry if you’re really inexperienced, we are happy to train you so that you are set up for success as a line cook. As long as you are willing to learn we are willing to teach.
– Relatively stable personal life (i.e: can regularly work the schedule that is assigned)
– Empathetic, kind, willing to own up to their mistakes and shortcomings – if these are traits that you identify with you will fit in with us.
– Values teamwork and enjoys being part of a team. Being reliable and dependable to your team is a top priority.
– NO ASSHOLES / NO TOXICITY / NO PASSIVE OR DIRECT AGGRESSION. We are an ego and drama-free kitchen
