The daily routine of the Shop and essential functions for the mechanic may include:
- Oil changes
- Coolant and fluid checks
- Brake checks and tire changes
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics

Requirements
Ground Support Equipment Mechanics provide ongoing preventive, routine, repair, and refurbishment services for a variety of ground equipment. The shop is similar to an auto shop, but we work on a variety of equipment, including but not limited to: fuel carts, hydrant trucks, luggage tugs, deicing trucks, catering trucks, and anything else that you may see out on the airport ramp.
- 1-2 years of mechanical experience of any kind (preferably auto mechanic, box truck, HVAC, refrigeration systems, etc.)
- Mechanical minds who enjoy problem-solving
- General knowledge of carburetors, alternators, starter motors, batteries, hydraulics, small engines, radiators, and diesel engines
- Experience working on Ground Support Equipment is preferred, but not required.
- Electrical and diesel skills are preferred, but not required.
- At least 18 years of age.
- A valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass a federal fingerprint background check.
- Have proof of U.S work eligibility.
