II. Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Responsible for management of dining room service in the manner most pleasing to members and their guests. Assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality, and service in personnel and cleanliness of the dining room. Supervise and train dining room staff. Manage within budgetary restraints. Develop and implement programs to increase revenues (repeat business and higher check averages).
III. Job Tasks (Additional Responsibilities)
-Supervises dining room staff to help assure proper service.
-Greets and seats members and guests.
-Provide satisfaction and exceed member expectations in providing the highest quality standards in all aspects of the Food & Beverage and Clubhouse departments.
-Takes reservations, checks table reservation schedules, and maintains reservations log.
-Designs floor plans by reservations.
-Prints menus, dining calendars, and food and beverage schedules.
-Receives and resolves complaints concerning food, beverages, and service.
-Inspects dining room employees to ensure that they are in proper and clean uniforms at all times.
-Through training, preparation, and communication, continually train and direct front-of-the-house staff to ensure that all member needs are addressed and accommodated.
-Assures that all side-work is accomplished and that all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed according to schedule.
-Maintains an inventory of dining room items including silverware, coffee pots, water pitchers, salt and pepper holders, sugar bowls, and linen and ensures that they are properly stored and accounted for.
-Attends scheduled staff meetings.
-Performs other appropriate assignments, responsibilities, and projects as required by the Assistant General Manager.
IV. Reports to: Assistant General Manager
Qualification Requirements:
-Desired Skills & Experience: A minimum of 2 years of Food & Beverage Management experience at a fine dining restaurant, private club, resort, or hotel.
-In-depth knowledge of motivating, supervising, and training staff as well as leading the dining room
-Excellent computer skills and POS knowledge (Club Essentials knowledge preferred)
-A keen eye for details and a hands-on management style is required Dining floor plan and menu design knowledge
-Safe Serve training and Food Handler certificate.
