Mujō, an omakase-style modern edomae sushi restaurant, is seeking a Dishwasher to join our team. We are a small restaurant with 15 seats, open for dinner only. The ideal candidate should be organized and familiar with proper sanitation standards. The Dishwasher will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all the glasses and plate ware that are involved in executing a high-end fine dining experience; ensuring the kitchen is clean at all times; and assisting the Chef team in restocking and organization as needed.
Many of our plates are made ourselves, so applicants should demonstrate care and attention in their work. We execute at a high standard so cleanliness and organization are key to success. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual who wants to progress into a larger role in the culinary side of the restaurant industry.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1+ years in the hospitality industry;
Experience in fine dining preferred though not mandatory;
Ability to communicate and work in English, additional languages beneficial;
Professional appearance with close attention to care and grooming;
Positive attitude and a self-motivated willingness to learn and be taught;
Schedule is 40 hours a week, 5 days a week Tuesday AM, Wednesday-Saturday 4 till close and close is often after midnight.
