The Seagate is looking to hire a Dishwasher/Steward to join our team!
The Dishwashers’ roles are essential to the smooth functioning of kitchen. In this role you will work to assure the cleanliness of the restaurant wares for the front of house and back of house departments. Your duties will include, but are not limited to, maintaining a clean, safe and organized work space, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of tableware, glassware, dishes, pots and pans, and all utensils, through manual and machine cleaning methods.
Responsibilities:
– Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans, etc. using dishwasher or by hand
– Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in proper storage areas
– Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or service
– Stock supplies, such as food or utensils in service stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
– Set up banquet tables or tables for catering events
– Sweep or scrub floors
– Clean garbage cans frequently with soap and water
– Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pick-up areas.
– Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by using hand trucks
– Receive and store supplies
– Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies
Requirements:
– Previous experience in a fast paced, high volume a la carte kitchen preferred
– Knowledge of proper sanitation practices
– Ability to communicate and work well under pressure
– Ability to follow strict recipes
– Flexible scheduling availability to include days, nights, weekends and holidays is required
– Professional attitude and strong work ethic
– Communicate in the primary language in a clear, concise, grammatically correct, and pleasant and sincere manner
– Understand requests and correctly, creatively and expediently carry them out
– Be outgoing, friendly and patient even after working long hours
– Handle multiple requests with poise, accuracy and timeliness
