Role Summary:
Upkeep of building, furniture touch up and repairs, guest rooms maintenance to include but not limited to door frames, offices, and common areas, may include carpentry, decor, coatings, plaster and paint.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with the National Hotel quality of service standards, and policies and procedures.
· Completes assigned work orders for general repair within assigned time frame in order to achieve the utmost operational efficiency of the hotel and its equipment.
· Performs systematic checks and inspections to aid in the upkeep to the hotel and assists in the established proactive maintenance program in order to prevent malfunctions, breakdowns and general depreciation.
· Maintains tools, work spaces and equipment in safe, secure and good conditions in order to reduce accidents and to prolong their use.
· Assists department in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures for the safety of all guest and employees.
· When assigned, assists in preparing trash dumpsters for pick-up and moving dumpsters back and forth from trash room to loading dock.
· When assigned, assists in keeping swimming pools clean ,chemically balanced and filtration system working.
· Takes charge of ,drywall, plaster and carpentry work and some painting
· Takes charge of decorations and carpentry related projects
· Duties include and are not limited to general guest room repairs, preventative maintenance, repair of doors, locks and hardware, changing light bulbs and filters, etc.

· Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
Must have completed High School or GED Diploma
In a similar position with proven carpentry track record for a minimum period of 2 years
Ability to speak conversational English
Team player with Customer oriented with professional grooming and communication standards a must
Technical savvy and handy with all maintenance related tools and equipment
Enthusiastic/ dynamic / result oriented
Able to work flexible hours in accordance with operational needs
Safety Requirements:
All Associates are required to abide by all Safety rules and ensure they perform each task by practicing safe work habits. Any associate who incurs any type of injury is required to report immediately to their immediate supervisor or the Security Officer on duty.
Must adhere to all lifting and Engineering protocols associated with safe workpractices
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit for long periods of time, stand; walk; full dexterity in use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
