Job Overview
As a member of the setup team, you’ll play a crucial role in the successful staging and execution of events. You’ll be responsible for setting up and connecting necessary equipment, providing assistance to the DJ during events, and contributing to our social media content collection. This position also offers the opportunity to learn and grow as an apprentice to the DJ, gaining valuable experience in running and playing a set effectively, as well as mastering the art of proper event MCing.
Responsibilities:
• Arrive at event venues and stage and connect necessary equipment, ensuring guest safety by properly taping wires.
• Act as an assistant to the DJ during events, bringing in and enabling necessary equipment as required.
• Collect photo and video content for social media promotion.
• Learn from and support the DJ in running and playing a set effectively, and in mastering event MCing.
Qualifications:
• Basic understanding of technology such as iPhone apps and electronics
• Basic knowledge of AV systems and how to connect them is desirable but not required.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs is A MUST since the nature of this work will be largely loading, lifting and carrying equipment
• Availability to work nights and weekends is A MUST since that’s when the parties are!
• Coachable attitude and a strong desire to learn. There’s no room for egos on our team, not even from leadership.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on open communication and honesty.
• Enthusiasm for being a part of a fun and connected team that parties hard!
Additional Information:
Previous experience in event setup or familiarity with audio and lighting equipment is not necessary, but a willingness and basic technical aptitude are important.
