We are looking for an expert cake decorator with a great attitude to join our decorating group in South Austin, TX. The successful candidate will need the following.

Experience and Skill level (expert):

Experience working with buttercream (we do not use fondant)
Good communication skills and ability to follow written instructions
Experience stacking cakes and base coating preferred
Willingness and eager to learn new skills and techniques
Ability to mix and match custom colors
Ability to work independently as well as with others within the company
Ability to work and maintain an organized work area with high volumes on occasion
Responsibilities will include:
Stacking and base coating cakes to company standards
Review customer order forms, design and create per instructions
Coordinate with other cake decorators and manager to establish daily tasks
Communicate with other departments (central kitchen, customer service, and shipping) as needed to answer questions and maintain efficient order processing.
Maintain quality and a clean work environment on an ongoing basis
The days & hours for this position will be as follows:
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
40 hours per week, 8 hour shift per day
Occasional Saturdays during busy season
Sunday OFF
The salary range for an expert will begin at $22.00 per hour paid on a biweekly basis. Expert salary is negotiable depending upon ability.
Experience:
Cake decorating: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
Food Handler Certification (Required)
