Job Description:
Conceptualize and design original garments for women’s clothing;
Make sketches including prepare construction specification sheets;
Make fabric selections, adapt design for mass production;
Examine samples on models and modify designs to achieve desired results;
Confer with sales and management staff to discuss new product lines;
Research and forecast trends in fashion styles and accessories including competitive analysis;
Decide on a theme for a collection;
Visit manufacturers or trade show to get samples of fabric.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or Design Related
