Full job description
Responsibilities:
– Greet and seat customers in a friendly and timely manner
– Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently using a POS system
– Provide menu recommendations and upsell specials or additional items
– Ensure food safety protocols are followed in handling and serving food
– Maintain a clean and organized work area, including bussing tables as needed
– Process customer payments using a cash register or other payment methods
– Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
– Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and resolve issues promptly
– Work as part of a team to provide exceptional service to all guests
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills for positive guest relations
– Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment
– Basic math skills for accurate order taking and payment processing
– Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
