The College of Business, Department of the Office of Development and Alumni Relations is currently seeking a Temporary Office Assistant to join their team. Under supervision by the Senior Advancement Resource Liaison, this position provides a variety of administrative and operational support to the College of Business Advancement team. Working within this dynamic and fast-paced department, the Office Assistant will have the opportunity to learn about two integral facets of the university, advancement and alumni relations. This position requires understanding of and adherence to university policies, procedures, and guidelines while handling confidential information related to advancement with professionalism, tact, discretion´s, and good judgment.
Duties: Assists the team in all administrative and operational aspects of Development and Alumni Relations, anything from: events (i.e., Wertheim Wisdom Wednesday and Perspectives ); accounting; board maintenance (i.e., Dean’s Council and Alumni); program maintenance (i.e., Mentor Program); calendar maintenance as well as conducting research (i.e., constituents, gift history, funding sources, etc.). Other duties assigned as needed.
This position directly assists and supports the Senior Advancement Resource Liaison position meeting on a regular basis to share successes, upcoming projects, and future needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Assists with departmental operations through usage of:
Raiser’s Edge Database Management.
Gift Management and Processing.
Research and Prospect Management.
Reporting and analytics.
Provides administrative support including scheduling appointments, meetings, travel and inventory management.
Aids in planning, coordinating and executing special events related to Donor/Development/Alumni functions.
Serves as a liaison between FIU Business Office of Development & Alumni Relations and other College and University Departments and external constituents.
Assists with College of Business boards administration, such as scheduling, preparing for meetings, meeting minutes and facilitates communication with board members.

Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m – 5:00 p.m.
Advertised Salary
$14.00 per hour.
