The Center for Community Health, opening January 2021 in the heart of Park Slope at our NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, will set a new bar in personalized outpatient care – from diagnosis to treatment – by integrating new technologies and innovative clinical approaches to provide the highest quality care and enhance the patient experience.

 

This 400,000 –square foot, multi-specialty ambulatory center encompasses a Comprehensive Cancer and Women’s Health Center, 12 ambulatory surgery operating rooms and Multispecialty physician practices. Our new state-of-the-art building encompasses three 600 ton chillers, five individual air handling units and Schneider control systems.

 

Food Service Worker – Center for Community Health – Day Shift

 

In this role, the Food Service Worker will perform all duties assigned in the Food and Nutrition services department consistent with NYPBMH commitment to providing quality health care services in a compassionate and humane manner. Additional duties include following proper procedure regarding food handling & storage, ensure proper separation of recyclables, ensuring timely delivery of meals to patients, and keeping work areas clean & sanitized.

 

This is a part time day shift position 12:00pm-5:00pm or as needed 7:00am-3:00pm including every other Saturday located at the NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital Center for Community Health.

 

Preferred Criteria:

Previous food service experience.
Required Criteria:

High School Diploma or GED.
Basic computer literacy.
Work requires standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, color vision, and manual dexterity. Must be able to lift, pull and push 10 pounds at intervals.
