- JOB DESCRIPTION
Shipping & Receiving will work with Operations to oversee inbound shipments for safe unloading practices, correct physical inventory movement, and correct data transfer. Outbound shipments will be monitored for safe loading practices, load condition quality, paperwork.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee shipping & receiving process– ensure proper procedures are being followed.
- Ensure that incoming material is placed into correct storage areas.
- Maintain accurate and detailed incoming material records.
- Notify Production and Inventory Control of received material.
- Manage shipments process – monitor load quality.
- Ensure that all unloading, and loading is being done in safe manner.
- Perform Inventory Control Clerk duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- COMPETENCIES
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, two years of production experience and a college degree preferred.
- Must have the ability to read, write and understand the English language.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Working extended periods of time standing
- Excellent communication skills and working as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and extended workdays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
4.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in the processing area within a manufacturing facility. This position routinely uses a PILT to move material, packaging, totes and other supplies, or material as required. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations performing their normal job junctions.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Use of proper PPE is required including hearing protection.
6.0 Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. Hours of work may vary based on business needs.
7.0 Travel
None, however, may receive/provide training off site or at other ELG facilities.
