Full job description
- To generate that work required by the Coordinator and Director, and to develop good communication among the office, staff, parents and children.
- Responsible that school communication is cared for as required.
- Answer telephone, record and distribute all messages.
- Keep children and staff files current.
- Organize school tours for potential customers
- Maintain confidentiality of all school matters.
- File and maintain all office related materials.
- Care for and maintain the file room. Responsible for the filing, care and upkeep of the general files.
- Courteous and pleasant to children, teachers, parents and colleagues.
- Oversee the maintenance of all forms.
- Understand and abide by the policies of The Learning Nest in a professional manner and to instructions provided by Management.
- Interpret the education program, the philosophy, policy and procedures of the school and communicate same to parents, children, interested persons and colleagues in a professional manner.
- Type, copy and distribute those materials (permission slips, memos to parents, staff sign-in, sign-out sheets, permanent record booklets, new staff information, newsletters, etc.) as required by the school guides and approved by the Directors.
- Responsible for the time cards, payroll schedule, teacher conference schedules, snack schedules, and the vacation schedules of the office staff under the direction of the Director and Administrator.
- Care and maintenance of the office plants and animals, and front desk order.
- Assist the Coordinator and Director as needed. Occasional typing for different programs and meetings.
- Care and maintenance of office machines, copy machine, computers and the mail.
- Care for and maintenance of the Storage Room. Copier machine’s maintenance and order supplies.
- Assist in the drop off and pick up.
- Back up classrooms when the teacher or her assistant are absent.
- Assist Management in the processing of tuition payments and other payments to the school.
