SUMMARY:
Oversees, directs, and manages property operations to assure optimum performance and continual improvement. Coordinates, directs and manages the staff and everyday hotel operations to achieve profitability, guest satisfaction and operational efficiency while maintaining guest and staff satisfaction. General Manager is hands-on in all aspects of hotel operations whenever and wherever needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:
Working hours are 8:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. – Monday through Friday and on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and employees.
Develop, administer, monitors and control the property revenue and expense budgets.
Participates and monitors inventory of supplies and equipment. Ensures purchases made and are within budget.
Identifies and seeks out potential business in local market. Maintains relationships with local companies and key people to increase the company’s visibility within the local market.
Recruits and train qualified applicants.
Conducts regular meetings with staff to provide various information including company communications, policy reviews, local property activities, goals, etc.
Inspects and documents repairs and cleanliness of property daily to ensure optimum upkeep and repair, studio cleanliness and overall property appearance.
Directly manages and supervises a total of 5 to 10 hourly employees on the Property.
Actively reviews and monitors online and in-person marketing and public relations.
Performs duties in all aspects of hotel operations whenever needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3 years related hospitality management experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Computers including ability to use e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
Ability to organize multiple projects; manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to manage and direct staff to perform daily job tasks.
Own reliable transportation.
Non-smoking.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES
Ability to read and speak the English and Spanish language.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guest, clients, and employees of the organization
Ability to effectively write and communicate professionally with guests, staff, and others as required for optimum operation of the property
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or chemicals.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The employee is frequently required to travel within the local community.
