The GIK & Special Projects Assistant reports to the Community Development Manager and will help process and count Gift-in-Kind and helps with special projects as they arise. The Gift-in-Kind must be sorted, counted and the counts put on a spreadsheet. The Development Department has many projects going on throughout the year and this person would help with those projects as needed.
Minimum Requirements: RRequires a High School diploma or GED. The GIK & Special Projects Assistant must be a self-motivated, highly organized team player, and be able to work in an environment where they are not afraid to get their “hands dirty” by helping to sort Gift-in-kind (GIK). The GIK & Special Projects Assistant must be detail-oriented with the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, and be able to understand and carry out oral and written directions in English. Requires a professional demeanor with the ability to interact with all levels of volunteers, donors, public, residents, and staff. Must be able to pass a Level II background screen and drug test.
Compensation: $9.00 – $13.00 per hour based on experience. Position is non-exempt.
