Overview:The Greeter welcomes and assists patients, their families and visitors entering the Medical Center. Employees working in this capacity answer questions, provide information and direct people to the Medical Center location they need, thus creating an atmosphere in the Medical Center that is caring, yet efficient. They help making appointments to patients, direct them to the right person at the center.
Responsibilities:Cordially greets visitors and patients upon arrival.
Ascertains patients’ and or visitors’ needs and directs them accordingly.
Provides assistance to patients and visitors by obtaining wheelchairs, or other services as needed.
Escorts or transports patients who need help to their destination within the clinic.
Assists patients entering or exiting vehicles.
Assists patients in calling for a Cab as needed.
Keeps the front driveway clear and unobstructed for patient and visitor drop-off and pick-up.
Contacts Facilities Management, for assistance when necessary.
Monitors the overall appearance of the Medical Center entrance.
Performs related duties as required.
Will use Electronic Medical Record.
Qualifications:High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent experience.
Must be able to work legally in the United States.
Must pass background and drug screenings.
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Required to meet immunization or health screening requirements.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for customer service and attention to detail.
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, see, and hear.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to push and pull (on wheelchair) 100 to 350 pounds, frequently over considerable distance.
Ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours is sometimes required.
