To provide for the routine operation and minor maintenance of university vehicles in the transportation of materials or passengers.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks
Transfer patients and other assigned passengers on ans/or off campus, assisting them in entering and exiting vehicle.
Deliver and/or retrieves materials as instructed.
Assists in the loading and unloading of materials from vehicle.
Maintains daily log of mileage, number of trips, passengers/cargo, destination, and fuel and oil consumptions.
Inspects condition of assigned vehicle on a regular basis with regard to oil, fuel, tires and water.
Reports any needed adjustments or repairs to supervisors.
Adheres to internal controls established for departments
*This is an evening position, work hours are: 4pm-12:30am*

Required Education/Experience
High School graduate and/or equivalent and one year related experience required. Completion of defensive driver course within 30 days of hire. Must possess current Texas Class “C” driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
Equipment
Operation of vehicles, including trucks or vans.
Working Environment
Lift and move heavy objects. Drive vehicles under adverse weather conditions and have the ability to cope with emergency driving situations.
