While We Were Young is seeking energetic, forward thinking head chef for our established contemporary American restaurant. This is a position for someone who has a true passion for cooking and creating. You must be knowledgeable with current food trends as well as traditional methods of cooking.
Looking for candidates who have a minimum of 3-5 plus years in similar position or an established Sou Chef that feels like they are ready to take the leap to head chef.
Must Have current DOH food handlers license and understand health codes.

Ability to create menu items from scratch
Strong communication with management and staff.
Understanding food cost and proper reporting. We currently operate below 25%

Clean and efficient
Culinary degree is preferred, but not required.
