Camp Verde Restaurant in Camp Verde, Texas, is a beautiful restaurant known for its rich history and charming location in the Texas Hill Country. Our team enjoys a motivating, friendly and energetic environment. We are currently seeking a part-time Host to join our team. Candidates should be able to foster a positive work environment, take initiative and possess a willingness to learn. EOE
Responsibilities
- Interact with guests entering and leaving the restaurant as part of their positive dining experience
- Escort guests to their table and provide a menu to each guest
- Answer guest questions accurately and politely about the restaurant, menu and store history
- Take guest information and accurately quote the wait time if seating is not immediately available
- Answer the phone and record reservations
- Control server section rotation to ensure excellent service and uniform distribution of seated guests among servers
- Track occupied, clean and soiled tables
- Assist bussing tables, as necessary
- Communicate guest concerns to the manager
- Perform opening, closing and other duties as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized podium and wait area
- Support other team members, as needed
- Protect company assets and maintain a safe work environment
- Follow all company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal employment laws
Requirements
- Previous hostess or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task and stand for long periods of time
- Committed to reliable attendance
- Capacity to take directions and work with others
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Can safely lift 25 lbs. while maneuvering throughout the work area
- Available to work a variety of hours including holidays and weekends
