Compensation: $7-$12 per hour + tips ($12-$20 Average Per Hour)

The Hotel Valet Parking Attendant provides exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. In this key role, you will be responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner and assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up of guest luggage during arrival and departure. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients.
Must be able to acknowledge, greet and welcome guests to the location.
Ability to explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival.
Required to run at top speed to park and retrieve vehicles and driving slowly and cautiously.
Must be able to assist guests with bell service, luggage storage, directions, taxis, reservations, information about meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility and other inquiries as needed.
Must be able to read and write standard English language.
Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees
Delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
Transport guests to appropriate places that are approved by the hotel via shuttle (when applicable)
Secures all keys on belt clip or in locked key box
Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
Consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet syste
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift while practicing preventative safety procedures such as including safe lifting guidelines
Follows site specific safety and security procedures
Uses only equipment trained to use and operates all equipment in a safe manner
Reports all accidents and incidents observed to Account Manager immediately
Reports all potential hazards and safety concerns to Account Manager

Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR one (1) month related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to operate a manual transmission driving skills is a plus
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
For insurance purposes, must be at least 18 years of age and must be able to pass a criminal background, driving record history check and drug screen test
