Brunswick Hospital Center (BHC), is a 146-bed private, acute-care psychiatric hospital that is licensed by The New York State Office of Mental Health and accredited by The Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Brunswick Hospital Center caters to a diverse population throughout the NY Metropolitan region and is located 45 minutes from Manhattan and in close proximity to all major expressways and the LIRR/local bus service.
We are currently seeking a Housekeeper to be responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, sanitizing and servicing various areas.
We require:
· Ability to follow infection control guidelines
· Knowledge of how to use common cleaning implements such as mops, floor waxes, and scouring pads to keep areas clean and well serviced
· Knowledge of how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and to be alert to hazards
· Ability to follow verbal or written instructions
· Speak, read, and write English
· Lift, carry or push 50 lbs. or more, other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
· High school or equivalency diploma preferred
· Experience in psychiatric or general healthcare facility preferred
